What does 30 wins and a Big XII Tournament championship get you these days? If you're the Missouri Tigers, it gets you a No. 2 seed in the West Region, which a lot of people considered insulting enough. Well, the Norfolk State Spartans traveled all the way to Omaha from the shores of Virginia to heap a little injury on to that insult, knocking Missouri out of the NCAA Tournament with a stunning 86-84 win.
There are many ways to analyze this game, and surely the boxscore will be picked to pieces in the coming days. (Remarkably, both teams shot over 50 percent from the floor). However, now is the time to reflect on a season that ended with a whimper.
