2013 Missouri Football Recruiting: Tigers Get Jake Campos, No. 1 Player In Iowa

The Missouri Tigers grabbed a huge out-of-state commitment this week in West Des Moines Iowa offensive tackle Jake Campos, considered the top prep player in the state. The 6-foot-7, 240 lb. Campos is the Tigers' 13th known commitment, as Gary Pinkel's staff builds aggressively recruiting for the first time as members of the SEC.

Campos will likely be protecting quarterback commitment Trent Hosick, a four-start quarterback commit to the Tigers out of Kansas City's Staley High School. Hosick hasn't lost a game he's started since the fifth grade, and projects to be Mizzou's next star quarterback.

Campos was recruited by Iowa, Iowa State, Oregon, Kansas State, Vanderbilt and Illinois among other schools. Campos told ShowMeMizzou.com that Nebraska and Oklahoma had also been in contact.
