The Fiesta Bowl has released a statement in response to the new agreement between the SEC and Big 12 that puts the regular season conference champions from both league's in a New Year's Day bowl game beginning in 2014.

The Fiesta Bowl could be impacted by this agreement, as it has hosted the Big 12 champion since the BCS era began in 1998. Since this partnership appears eerily similar to the one between the Pac 12 and Big Ten, come 2014 there will essentially be four power conferences.
