Semi Ojeleye is soon to be a senior at Ottawa High School and is already one of the most coveted basketball recruits in the country. Ojeleye is currently ranked No. 37 in the nation and has received scholarship offers from a number of schools, including the Kansas St. Wildcats and the Missouri Tigers. The Kansas Jayhawks have not yet officially offered a scholarship, but are one of the 11 teams on the list for the 6'6 forward. The area school may not be the frontrunners for his services, however.
Gary Bedore at KUSports.com reports that Ojeleye is planning on making a visit to the Duke Blue Devils on May 31.
"I'll cut it down a little toward July," Ojeleye told Rivals.com, referring to having a workable list.
"This is a blessing. You have to take it in stride," the Mo-Kan Elite AAU player added of all the attention.
Of choosing a college, he said: "I'm looking for a great coach, and a place with high academics. You have to look for the best fit for you."
The Wildcats may have an inside shot of netting Ojeleye: his brother, Victor Ojeleye, is a former Kansas State player.
