Four Missouri Players Make Preseason All-SEC Teams

If the All-SEC preseason teams are any indication, Missouri is going to have a tough time replicating their football success in the Big 12, as least initially.

↵

The Tigers had four players make one of the three teams, but none made it on either the first or second-team. All four -- WR T.J. Moe, OL Elvis Fisher, OLB Zaviar Gooden and DB E.J. Gaines -- were on the third team.

↵

By this admittedly unscientific account, none of the top 44 players in the SEC will be playing for Gary Pinkel this season. QB James Franklin, well on his way to being the next in a long-line of record-shattering QB's under Pinkel, missed out behind Tyler Wilson (Arkansas), Aaron Murray (Georgia) and A.J. McCarron (Alabama).

↵

WR Dorial Green-Beckham, in spite of the tidal wave of publicity surrounding his arrival in Columbia, did not make the cut either.

↵

The silver lining, is there is any, is that Alabama, LSU and Arkansas, who combined for 32 total selections, are all in the SEC West.
