While filling Stan Van Gundy's shoes won't be easy, especially if the Orlando Magic end up dealing Dwight Howard, it's still one of only 30 NBA head coaching jobs, the pinnacle of the profession, in the world.
And according to a report from the Orlando Sentinel, Quin Snyder and Jacque Vaughn are among four candidates who will interview for the position.
Snyder, the former Missouri coach who has turned around his reputation after NCAA indiscretions cost him his collegiate career, is currently an assistant coach with the LA Lakers.
Vaughn, a former Kansas Jayhawk great from the late 1990's, has been an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs for the last two seasons after a twelve-year career in the NBA.
The other two candidates are Mike Malone, a Golden State Warriors assistant, and Brian Shaw, an assistant with the Indiana Pacers.
