2012 Missouri Football: Tigers Reach 45,000 Season Tickets Sold

Missouri's inaugural season in the SEC continues to bring rewards. The school announced on Tuesday that it has reached the goal of 45,000 season tickets sold — the most in school history.

According to the Kansas City Star, the previous school record was 41,413 in 2008 coming off the 12-win season of 2007. Last year, the school sold 39,879 season tickets. While the goal has been reached, it's not quite done. From The Star:

The school says 300 season tickets and 600 football-only student tickets remain. These tickets, plus single-game tickets for the three non-conference home games against Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 1), Arizona State (Sept. 15) and Syracuse (Nov. 17), are currently on sale.

Single-game SEC tickets go on sale for Tiger Scholarship Fund members at designated levels beginning on Wednesday. Season ticket holders will have the next opportunity, and the tickets will go on sale to the general public on Aug. 24.
