The Missouri Tigers will make history Saturday as the team faces the Georgia Bulldogs, their first conference opponent as a member of the SEC. The significance of the game isn't lost on head coach Gary Pinkel.
"It's the first SEC game, first SEC home game, so I think that it is going to go down in history," Pinkel told the Tigers' official website. "They are always going to look at it and how it came out, but then we are also playing a great football team."
Pinkel has a stellar 9-2 career mark against current SEC opponents, though most of that has come against fellow newcomer and former Big 12 foe Texas A&M.
ESPN2 will televise the game between the Bulldogs (1-0) and the Tigers (1-0) nationally at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
