Missouri Tigers head coach Gary Pinkel said it best when he described Saturday's game against the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs as one "that will go down in history." After a 62-10 drubbing of Southeastern Louisiana in their opener, Missouri enters a new era on Saturday with their first ever SEC game as a member of the conference.
And while the Tigers had no problem beating up on their first opponent, the Bulldogs didn't have it as easy, as they required a strong second half to put away the Buffalo Bulls. Regardless, the highly ranked Georgia team is still the favorite entering the weekend's matchup, although a three-point spread is a small one for a top 10 team taking on an unranked opponent.
The game will feature two highly-touted quarterbacks as Missouri's James Franklin will go head to head against Georgia's Aaron Murray. Both are on the Maxwell Award watch list and could be contenders for the Heisman Trophy as well given the success of their respective teams.
Game Time: 6:45 p.m. CT at Faurot Field
TV: ESPN2
Odds: Georgia -3
