Oklahoma City Thunder sign Walker Russell to training camp roster

Walker Russell becomes the 19th player signed to the Thunder roster.

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to add players to their training camp roster, and the latest signing announced is Walker Russell on the very day that camp begins.

Russell played last season for the Detroit Pistons where he appeared in 28 games and averaged 3.0 points per contest.

After playing collegiately at Jacksonville State University, Russell spent five seasons in the NBA D-League where he amassed averages of 15.1 points, 8.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 132 contests. During the past six years, Russell has spent time playing professionally in the Dominican Republic (2011), China (2011), Germany (2010-11), Puerto Rico (2010), Bulgaria (2009-10), Madrid (2008) and the Czech Republic (2006-07).

Russell now becomes the 19th player on the Thunder roster. Oklahoma City can sign one more player before arriving at the maximum limit.

The Thunder will hold its annual media day this afternoon at the Thunder Events Center at 1:00 p.m. CT.
