Desperate to make a buck with the legal system, an Oklahoma City fan is suing the team after claiming that another man fell on him from an upper balcony during a game last year according to a report by OpposingViews.com.
David Jones, a Tulsa resident who filed the claim, reports that he was seated at an Oct. 12 preseason game last year between the Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies when another fan inexplicably landed on him from above. Jones alledges that he has "experienced great pain and suffering and has incurred medical bills for medical treatment and lost wages" due to the incident, and is seeking damages for negligence on the part of the team.
The extent of Jones' injuries were not released, making it especially interesting that these allegations have arrived more than one year after the incident took place. Jones is officially suing the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Public Facilities Authority in court as well, but it remains to be seen whether his claims of injury and medical expenses will justify his decision to take legal action.
