Nuggets at Thunder preview: OKC wraps up home preseason slate against deep Denver team

The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the final preseason game at Chesapeake Energy Arena trying to get everyone healthy in advance of next week's regular season tip-off.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will play their final preseason game at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday night, hosting the Nuggets as both teams gear up for next week's regular season tip-off. The Thunder broke the century mark in three of their first four preseason games, and they'll try to continue the offensive efficiency and rhythm against a versatile and deep Nuggets team. Denver is still working through a variety of rotations as George Karl has a plethora of weapons at his disposal, with the newly acquired Andre Iguodala taking a leadership role.

One question for the Thunder entering the game is the health and availability of Perry Jones III. The rookie sat out Friday's game against the Suns, but as Welcome to Loud City points out, it was most likely a precautionary measure as the team takes extra care of a balky knee in the exhibition season. Kendrick Perkins has already been ruled out with a groin injury, and James Harden could join him.

One key area to watch will be the backup point guard battle between Reggie Jackson and Eric Maynor. Jackson is a super athletic guard with tons of potential, but Maynor has been a steady veteran and back-up for multiple teams. Despite his injury history, Maynor likely has the inside track to win the battle, and head coach Scott Brooks could even use both in the same lineup, with Jackson having the ability to slide over.

Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will not be broadcast, so check in with Welcome to Loud City and SB Nation KC for your postgame notes.
