After a sluggish start to the season, at least by his standards, Kevin Durant has started to heat up, and his improved play has propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder (7-3) to wins in six of their last seven games. On Sunday, the Thunder welcome an improved Golden State Warriors (5-4) team to Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Durant failed to score 25 points in his first five games of the year, but has now scored 25 or more in five straight games. In his career, he has excelled against the Warriors, averaging 30.9 points in 17 contests against Golden State. During Oklahoma City's current four-game win streak in the series with the warriors, Durant has average 33 points and 10 rebounds a game.
The Warriors are coming off a 106-98 win at Minnesota on Friday, in which Golden State limited the Timberwolves to just 22 points in the paint.
