NBA schedule: Thunder play back-to-back games this weekend

Oklahoma City head home on Friday to play Utah and then go on the road on Saturday against New Orleans.

The Oklahoma City Thunder return home on Friday as they host the Utah Jazz, and since the Jazz are 3-7 on the road it should be a very good chance for the Thunder to get a win. The Friday night game is on Fox Sports Oklahoma at 7 p.m. CT.

However, the Jazz are expected to get Mo Williams back in the lineup after missing three games, and that could make a difference on Friday. However, there is a trade off since Marvin Williams could be out with a concussion.

Then they head on the road on Saturday to face the New Orleans Hornets for a 6 p.m. tilt, and it is also on Fox Sports Oklahoma. The Hornets are not playing well so far this year, but with Thunder playing on consecutive days and being on the road could prove to be a tougher challenge.

As for the rest of the NBA on this weekend there are a pair of big games on Saturday. The first big games is the Eastern Conference and features the 10-4 Brooklyn Nets traveling to Miami Heat, who are 11-3. The Heat are 7-0 at home, while the Nets are just 3-3 on the road. This game tips at 6:30 and is on NBATV.

Out in the West, Memphis Grizzlies head to Texas to take on the San Antonio Spurs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams have double-digit wins, and this should be a good matchup since the Grizzlies are good on the road while the Spurs have an exceptional record at home.

This also will be the first game after Thursday night's controversy where Spurs' head coach Greg Popovich decided to not have starters Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili travel to Miami. The reason behind the move is because of the brutal early season schedule that the Spurs played.
