The Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant leads all Western Conference frontcourt players in votes for the 2013 All-Star Game with 605,965.
Durant holds the lead over Los Angeles Lakers center/foward Dwight Howard (434,168 votes), Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin (307,855 votes) and San Antonio Spurs power forward Tim Duncan (189,577). Voting for the position should be tighter than usual, as the center position has been absorbed into the all-encompassing "frontcourt" position.
The 24-year-old Durant is averaging 27.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the Thunder this season.
The leading vote-getter in the Western Conference backcourt is the Lakers Kobe Bryant, who has tallied 639,419 votes. Bryant is trailed by Clippers point guard Chris Paul (353,603 votes) and the point guard for the host Houston Rockets, Jeremy Lin (298,319 votes)
Miami Heat forward LeBron James leads all vote-getters with 641,348 votes.
The 2013 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Toyota Center in Houston. The game and NBA All-Star Saturday Night will be televised on TNT.
