Derek Fisher Says He Can Do 'Some Great Things To Help' Oklahoma City Thunder

As one of the top teams in the NBA this season, the Oklahoma City Thunder didn't need to change a whole lot at the NBA trade deadline compared to others. It's no surprise, then, that they kept quiet while others made the moves and grabbed the headlines. However, with the recent buyout that freed up veteran point guard Derek Fisher, the team was ready to finally make a move, picking up Fisher in a free agent deal after the Houston Rockets bought out his older contract after coming over from the Lakers.

When he suited up for the Thunder last night, Fisher was wearing No. 37 on the team. "I figured since everybody likes to throw my age around in negative conversations," said Fisher at his introductory press conference. "I'd just going ahead put it out there and let everybody know from the beginning, I am 37, but I think I can do some great things to help this team."
