The Oklahoma City Thunder stay on top of the Western Conference standings after they easily defeated the Sacramento Kings 115-89. The Thunder had a big second quarter which gave them the big lead and they kept adding to that lead in the second half and were never really challenged by the Kings.
The defense for the Thunder held the Kings offense to only 38 percent shooting from the field, and part of that was due to the Kings trying to make a comeback in the game with the three-point shot. That did not work out so well as the Kings made only 9-of-25 shots from three-point range. Serge Ibaka led the defensive charge for the Thunder with seven blocked shots.
The Thunder offense was not great on Friday night, but they did have five players score in double figures with the usual duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Durant had 29 points with Westbrook chipping in with 22 in the win.
