Thunder Vs. Lakers: OKC Takes 26-20 Lead After One Quarter

Playing on the road at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the Oklahoma City Thunder have jumped out to a six-point advantage, 26-20, after one quarter of play.

The Thunder, who trail the San Antonio Spurs by a half game heading into the final week of the NBA regular season are being led by James Harden, who has nine points early in the second quarter. World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) leads the Lakers with six points, OKC's leading scorer on the season, Kevin Durant, had only one basket after the first 12 minutes of play, and the Lakers' all-everything All-Star guard, Kobe Bryant, back for only his second game after sitting out for several games, did not score in the opening stanza.

Both teams have clinched playoff spots, but this is an important game for the Thunder, who are still in the race for the top spot in the Western Conference and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.
