James Harden Injury Update: Metta World Peace Gives Thunder Guard Concussion

The official report is coming back from the ridiculous elbow that Metta World Peace put on James Harden in today’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers put the hurt on the Thunder in the standings with a come from behind, double-overtime win, they also specifically hurt James Harden who has a concussion according to SportsCenter reports.

World Peace came out after the game and immediately said that he hoped Harden was okay.

“During that play I just dunked on (Kevin) Durant and (Serge) Ibaka and I got really emotional and excited and it was unfortunate that James had to get hit with an unintentional elbow,” World Peace said. “I hope he’s OK. The Thunder, they’re playing for a championship this year, so I hope that he’s OK and I apologize to the Thunder and to James Harden.”

Harden is the front runner for the Sixth Man of the Year Award and would be a major star if not for the spotlight already being hogged by Durant and Russell Westbrook. As for World Peace’s history of violence in the game, that well-known history should require no detailing.
