VIDEO: Metta World Peace Elbows James Harden

For those of you who missed the elbow shot heard 'round the NBA last night, the Lakers enigmatic forward Metta World Peace, or Ron Artest as you might prefer, nailed James Harden, star guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, with an swing of the elbow that resulted in a hard hit to the floor that was later ruled a concussion. It was a move that immediately sent the Twittersphere into overdrive and caused several to call out for a ruling from the NBA on a potential suspension.

World Peace insisted after the game that he did not see Harden there, and he also apologized via Twitter providing some commentary that there was no ill will at al and that he was caught up in the emotion of the game. Magic Johnson, Jon Barry and others commented that something needs to happen. For Artest, this has to sound like a replay of past incidents to at least a slight degree.
