Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder have a golden opportunity on Saturday, as they can sweep away the defending NBA champions in the first-round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs. The Thunder currently lead the Mavericks 3-0 in the best-of-seven series, and on Saturday, Oklahoma City will look to put away Dallas once and for all.
After winning the first two games in Oklahoma City by a combined four points, the Thunder put on an emphatic display on Thursday as the series shifted to Dallas. The Thunder essentially ended any chance at a Mavericks comeback in this series with their 95-79 Game 3 win on Thursday.
Unsurprisingly, Kevin Durant led the Thunder in scoring in the Game 3 rout of the Mavericks, scoring 31 points and adding six assists. Russell added 20 points to go along with four assists and four rebounds as well.
