The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently focused on the present for tonight's opening game of the 2012 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, but for some coaches, staff members and even players, the team's ascent to the final series of the season will provide ample opportunities for the future.
Front office personnel like Rob Hennigan are using this as a possible launching pad to further career goals.

The Orlando Magic have been looking for a new head coach and general manager since cleaning house weeks ago. Otis Smith was let go as GM and the team quickly started looking for high profile options. Instead, they are now narrowing their search to promising candidates from other teams.
A decision should be made very soon given the 2012 NBA Draft is right around the corner.
