On the court, the Oklahoma City Thunder are two losses away from losing the NBA Finals, and off the court, the team might be getting close to losing its head coach. Scott Brooks and the Thunder are not close in talks for a contract extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Brooks and the Thunder stopped contract talks before the NBA playoffs, and there's a chance that he will hit the open market at the end of the season.
In four seasons at the helm, Brooks has coached the Thunder to a 174-125 record, won an NBA Coach of the Year and led the team to the NBA finals.
The Thunder have offered Brooks a three-year deal with around $11 million, but he did not accept. The Charlotte Bobcats, Orlando Magic and Portland Trail Blazers all have head coaching vacancies.
