Kevin Durant Gains Hope From Oklahoma City Residents And Story

It's pretty clear that the character of the city he represents has rubbed off on Kevin Durant. Now that the Oklahoma City Thunder's title hopes are on the line, down three games to one in the 2012 NBA Finals, Durant is speaking with confidence and clarity despite the odds he's facing.

Every new acquisition for OKC spends time at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. After such a tragedy, the city has found a beautiful way to remember those who lost their lives and show the strength of the community. The Thunder are in such a position to need some of that resolve now.

No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. Yet the Thunder also defied long odds when coming back on the Spurs down 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals. The Heat are definitely the favorites at this point, but Durant holds out hope for a team and a city.
