2012 NBA Draft: Tyshawn Taylor Selected By Trail Blazers With No. 41 Pick

Kansas guard Tyshawn Taylor was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the No. 11 pick in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft on Thursday night. Taylor was the second Jayhawk taked on the night, after teammate Thomas Robinson went to the Sacramento Kings with the No. 5 pick of the first round.

Taylor is a 6-foot-4, 177lb. point guard who developed slowly over four seasons at KU, helping leading the Jayhawks to the national title game this season thanks to a NCAA Tournament average of 11.16 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4.5 APG in six games, despite shooting only 1-of-21 from three point range. Scouts like his raw athletic ability at the point, but point to his turnovers and decision making as areas to improve.
