For those of you who didn't know, Kevin Durant is not only an NBA superstar, but he's also a card-carrying member of the Screen Actors Guild. Okay, we don't know that for sure, but he does have a starring role in a movie called Thunderstruck. The first 30 seconds of the trailer (posted below) might strike you as a team publicity stunt or joke (at least it did in my case). However, rest assured, the Hollywood powers-that-be are ready to give you a full length movie of Kevin Durant switching bodies with a middle schooler. Yep.
Not sure how this makes it past a pitch meeting, but when the guy who made Eddie with Whoopi Goldberg and Mr. 3000 with Bernie Mac wants to make another movie... well, everyone step aside! Actually on second thought. how does this not work? Stephen A. Smith impersonator? Body-switching plot? Jim Belushi? The writer of Disney's Mail To the Chief (which looks to be about a kid getting access to become digital pen pals with the POTUS? Awesome.
I'm in. Are you?
