The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to explore all of their options for building a stronger team next season. One of the names that was tied to the team recently is that of Russian player Andrey Vorontsevich, who is currently with CSKA Moscow.
Niki Bakouli of Eurohoops.net reports that Vorontsevich will not be getting a contract offer from the Thunder and will remain with his current team.
The current line of thinking is that No. 28 overall draft pick Perry Jones III is a capable equivalent to Vorontsevich, even with concerns about Perry's knee. It is now believed that Perry's meniscus problems will not be an issue and he will likely receive a roster spot. Vorontsevich will have to keep waiting for the NBA to call.
