Team USA Basketball Results: Kevin Durant Scores 27 Points To Lead United States Past Argentina 86-80

The United States men's basketball team were in another exhibition game leading up to the Olympics, and the latest game was against Argentina who is going to be a challenger against Team USA for the gold medal. Team USA was in Barcelona for this game and they honored the 1992 Dream Team by wearing throwback uniforms from that year.

The United States were able to get an 86-80 victory over Argentina, but the game should not have been as close as it was. Team USA shot 34 three-point shots -- most of them uncontested -- but the problem was that the shots were not falling, and that allowed Argentina to hang around in this game.

The reason Team USA had open looks from beyond the arc was because Argentina was packing it in down low against Tyson Chandler, and it did not help that Chandler was in foul trouble which hurt how effective he was in the game.

Team USA was once again led by Kevin Durant who scored 27 points, made seven three-pointers and shared the ball with six assists in the win; LeBron James also had a solid game with 18 points.

Next up for Team USA is their final tune up against Spain on Tuesday July 24.
