Team USA Vs. France Final Score: Kevin Durant Leads U.S. Past France

Team USA got off to a slow start in their Olympic opening matchup against France but it didn't take long for their superior talent, depth and athleticism to show through. The U.S. ended up cruising to a 98-71 win behind 22 points from Kevin Durant.

Team USA led just 22-21 at the end of the first quarter but set the tone early in the second. They outscored France 56-30 over the second and third quarters. Durant hit 6 of 13 shots and all seven of his free throw attempts to score his 22 points. Kevin Love added 14 points while Kobe Bryant finished with 10. LeBron James took on the role of facilitator finishing with nine points and eight assists. Ali Traore led France with 12 points while Tony Parker added 10.

Up next for Team USA is a matchup with Tunisia on Tuesday.
