The Oklahoma City Thunder are likely to kick the tires on several minimum wage players in the NBA to round out the roster loaded with superstars earning significant money. But one guy they are checking in on is Washington's Roger Mason.
OKC, New Orleans and Washington have expressed interest in free agent Roger Mason, sources say— Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) July 3, 2012
The Wizards veteran guard is 6-5, 200 lbs. and has played for five different franchises to date, including two separate stints in Washington. Now a free agent, Mason could supplant Royal Ivey as a sharpshooting guard from downtown. Last season, Mason hit 38.3 percent of his 3-point attempts which was right in line with his career mark of 38.1 percent.
Mason, 31, averaged 5.5 points per game last year for the Wizards.
