Old Dominion's Kent Bazemore Agrees To Play For OKC Thunder In Summer League

Former Old Dominion basketball star Kent Bazemore is doing anything and everything he can to catch the attention of an NBA franchise in the hopes of keeping his dreams alive of playing professional basketball. While Bazemore could definitely make a living overseas playing hoops, he's jumping through several hoops of his own to try to make an NBA roster stateside by playing for multiple teams in various summer leagues.

Most recently, he's agreed to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder in Orlando in the upcoming summer league there held in mid-July. Later on this summer, Bazemore will play for the Golden State Warriors in another summer league series in Las Vegas. The hope should be obvious: to garner attention of his own while other more heralded prospects earn the initial attention of scouts.

Bazemore, a 6-5 guard, had a great career at ODU and is the school's 20th leading scorer in history. He is a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year.
