Kevin Durant Welcomes Hasheem Thabeet To Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder have reportedly signed Hasheem Thabeet, the former No. 2 overall selection in the 2009 NBA Draft, after general manager Sam Presti was rumored to be interested in the raw center. Thabeet has not worked out with any of the three franchises he's joined just yet, but the Thunder hope that the team's strong culture of hard work and team focus will help the 7-3 center's potential. Kevin Durant is apparently ready to welcome him at the very least.

Thabeet started in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies who took Thabeet in a draft loaded with NBA talent. Now looked upon as one of the biggest bust selections of the last decade, the Thunder are hoping that he's not a lost cause just yet. Thabeet has averaged 1.8 points per game last season between the Rockets and Trailblazers.
