Some games were close. Others were blowouts. One was scary while others were laughable. Yet through it all, Team USA men's basketball team held together and did what it needed to do to go undefeated through group play and it heads into the quarterfinals undefeated as the top seed in Group A. Next up is the men's team from Australia in the quarterfinals for the U.S.
Australia should not present much of a problem at all. Australia has lost two games in a row to Brazil and Spain after winning the first three contests in group play. They are definitely a decent team, but one that the U.S. should easily dispose of compared to others that give them fits (a la Lithuania).
The two teams play at 3:15 CT on Wednesday, August 8.
