The Oklahoma City Thunder are getting a brand new set of third digs for the 2012-2013 NBA season for the first time in franchise history.

During his preseason press conference, head coach Sam Presti let the style news slip that the team would be adding an alternate uniform set. But before fans could get too pumped up, he killed the mood by following the announcement up with a trademark Presti overly-realistic statement:

"We're really excited about it," Presti said. "We hope people like it. But the people wearing the uniform have to do the job."

Exhilarating, I know.

The Thunder will have to meet certain NBA regulations before it can add an alternate jersey to its mix but it seems from Presti words that they're long past that stage. Presti didn't share any of the color or design possibilities with the media but he did go out of his way to say that PG Russell Westbrook didn't have a say in the matter, adding "he's just eye-wear."

Hey, maybe this Presti guy ain't so bad after all.
