The Kansas City Royals AA club, Wilmington Blue Rocks, are piling up some significant talent.

Baseball America has compiled their top 20 prospect rankings for the Carolina League.

It's safe to say the folks at Baseball American (and all around MLB) like the Royals minor league talent.

Here are the top three:

1. Julio Teheran, rhp, Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Braves)
2. Eric Hosmer, 1b, Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals)
3. John Lamb, lhp, Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals)

Baseball America says managers and scouts were nearly unanimous with these three as the top prospects.

"Those top three are as good as you'll find, and I really like Hosmer," Salem manager Kevin Boles said. "There are some high-end prospects in the league this year."

The Royals aren't just top heavy in these rankings. They also have a nice amount of players scattered throughout the top 10:

4. Wil Myers, c, Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals)
5. Devin Mesoraco, c, Lynchburg Hillcats (Reds)
6.
Colon was the Royals first round pick in the 2010 MLB draft.

The rest of MLB has certainly noticed the Royals talent. Around the trade deadline, multiple teams referenced the Royals impressive load of talent in the minor leagues.
