<p>For once I think<a href="http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2010/week/11"> ESPN</a> has over-hyped the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.arrowheadpride.com/">Kansas City Chiefs</a>. Well, maybe over-hyped is a strong word but of the many NFL power rankings for Week 11 that we've seen ESPN has them on the high end at No. 15. That's fair for the Chiefs, maybe slightly overrated, but still fair. KC is coming off of two divisional losses, with the last one against the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.milehighreport.com/">Denver Broncos</a> very ugly.</p>
<p>ESPN puts the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/atlanta-falcons">Falcons</a> at the top, which in my mind is deserved. Atlanta has been flying under the radar it seems this season and they're being recognized for putting together a hell of a season. The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.patspulpit.com/">New England Patriots</a> - <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2010/11/16/1817345/nfl-power-rankings-week-11-patriots-steelers-eagles">SB Nation's No. 1 team</a> -- comes in at No. 2.</p>
<p>As far as the rest of the AFC West goes, the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/oakland-raiders">Oakland Raiders</a> come in at No. 12 for the second consecutive week. Believe it or not, this is your division champ after 11 weeks. The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/san-diego-chargers">San Diego Chargers</a> come in at No. 16, right behind the Chiefs. They're 4-5 with a two-game winning streak so <a href="http://kansascity.sbnation.com/kansas-city-chiefs/2010/11/16/1817842/nfl-power-rankings-week-11-kc-chiefs">I could see the argument that they should be ahead of the Chiefs.</a> The Broncos come in at No. 26 following their victory over the Chiefs, As ESPN notes, in three weeks Denver has given up 59 points to a division rival (Oakland Raiders) and scored 49 on another (Kansas City Chiefs).</p>
<p>The final three teams are the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.catscratchreader.com/">Carolina Panthers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.prideofdetroit.com/">Detroit Lions</a> and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.buffalorumblings.com/">Buffalo Bills</a>. The Panthers season is looking miserable with just one win in nine tries while the Lions, who are 2-7, have actually outscored their opponents. The Bills got their first win of the year last week against Detroit.</p>

<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.arrowheadpride.com/">Kansas City Chiefs</a> are ranked 17th in SB Nation's <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2010/11/16/1817345/nfl-power-rankings-week-11-patriots-steelers-eagles">Week 11 NFL power rankings</a>. As I explained before, I expected them to come in around 15-18. After looking at all the teams, I settled on 17th.</p>
<p>For a quick review, here's some teams that are <a href="http://kansascity.sbnation.com/kansas-city-chiefs/2010/11/16/1817321/nfl-power-rankings-week-11-chiefs-patriots-jets">better than or equal to the Chiefs record</a>: <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/new-england-patriots">Patriots</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/new-york-jets">Jets</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/pittsburgh-steelers">Steelers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/baltimore-ravens">Ravens</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/indianapolis-colts">Colts</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/new-york-giants">Giants</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/philadelphia-eagles">Eagles</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/green-bay-packers">Packers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/chicago-bears">Bears</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/atlanta-falcons">Falcons</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/new-orleans-saints">Saints</a>, Bucs, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/miami-dolphins">Dolphins</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/jacksonville-jaguars">Jaguars</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/tennessee-titans">Titans</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/oakland-raiders">Raiders</a> and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="../../../nfl/teams/seattle-seahawks">Seahawks</a>.</p>
<p>I put the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.bigcatcountry.com/">Jaguars</a> and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.fieldgulls.com/">Seahawks</a> behind the Chiefs. The Chiefs have beaten Jacksonville and I think KC is better than Seattle (but we'll find out in a couple weeks). I also put the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/san-diego-chargers">Chargers</a> ahead of the Chiefs, despite being 4-5. The Chargers have won two impressive games in a row while the Chiefs have lost two in a row. The Chargers are starting to heat up, I'm afraid, so we'll see if they can continue what has become an annual midseason winning streak.</p>
<p>The Chiefs, at 5-4 and two consecutive losses, fit well at No. 17. They're not among the worst teams in the league but they're far from proving they're a top 10 team.</p>
<p>KC has a lot of work to do to get the faith of the media again -- which doesn't really matter -- and they can start by beating the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/">Arizona Cardinals</a> at home next week.</p>

<p>Various NFL power rankings will be coming out for Week 11 and the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.arrowheadpride.com/">Kansas City Chiefs</a> can expect to tumble after their blowout loss to the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.milehighreport.com/">Denver Broncos</a>. Last week the Chiefs were hovering around 12-15 in most power rankings following their loss to the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/oakland-raiders">Oakland Raiders</a>. This week I expect them to fall.</p>
<p>So how far should they drop?</p>
<p>These teams currently have a better record than the Chiefs: <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.patspulpit.com/">Patriots</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.ganggreennation.com/">Jets</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/">Steelers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/">Ravens</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.stampedeblue.com/">Colts</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.bigblueview.com/">Giants</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/">Eagles</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/">Packers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.windycitygridiron.com/">Bears</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/atlanta-falcons">Falcons</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/">Saints</a> and Bucs.</p>
<p>These teams currently have the same record as the Chiefs: <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.thephinsider.com/">Dolphins</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.bigcatcountry.com/">Jaguars</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/">Titans</a>, Raiders and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.fieldgulls.com/">Seahawks</a>.</p>
<p>If the Chiefs are the worst 5-4 team, that would put them at No. 18. I think you can make an argument that they should be ahead of the Dolphins, Jaguars and Seahawks. (Of course, there's also an argument those teams should be ahead of the Chiefs).</p>
<p>That would put the Chiefs at No. 15-18 in NFL power rankings. I think that's probably about right and they could even be a bit lower considering their ugly loss to the then-2-6 Broncos.</p>
