The Missouri Tigers are who we thought they were -- a fast, quick, pesky team that doesn't make a ton of mistakes. The Kansas State Wildcats are not who we thought they were -- they're a mistake-filled team with no leadership or no one with the ability to step it up.

Mizzou topped K-State at Mizzou Arena on Monday afternoon, 75-59, as part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule. Missouri jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead and Kansas State clawed back in the second half before Mizzou went on another run to close it out.

Missouri had five players in double digits led by by Marcus Denmon who had 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting including 5-of-7 free throws. Kim English and Ricardo Ratliffe added 10 points apiece while Mizzou got points off the bench from Laurence Bowers (10) and Phil Pressey (13).

Kansas State's Jacob Pullen led all scorers with 16 points. Jordan Henriquez-Roberts added 14 points and six boards while Curtis Kelly scored four points and nabbed seven boards in his second game back. Rodney McGruder shot just 2-of-9 and totaled four points.

Missouri is ranked No. 13 in the AP top 25 while K-State is no longer ranked. This game won't help them get back there.

Mizzou moves to 16-3 on the season and 2-2 in the Big 12. They'll host Iowa State on Jan. 22. Kansas State moves to a disappointing 13-6 and 1-3 in Big 12 play. They'll travel to College Station, Texas to play Texas A&M next weekend.

The Missouri Tigers are hosting the Kansas State Wildcats at Mizzou Arena as part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule. The Tigers hold a 43-28 hafltime lead over Kansas State and looks like the better team to this point. The key stat is that Mizzou is 5-of-12 from beyond three-point land while K-State is 1-of-6.

Phil Pressey has 10 points off the bench hitting 2-of-3 three-pointers and Laurence Bowers, also off the bench, has added eight points for the Tigers. Marcus Denmon has just four points on 2-of-5 shooting. The Tigers defense has created five steals and the offense has turned it over seven times.

As a team, Mizzou is shooting 50 percent (16-of-32).

Jacob Pullen and Jamar Samuels have combined for 13 points for Kansas State including 6-of-6 at the free throw line. Rodney McGruder has four points on 2-of-6 shooting.

As a team, Kansas State is shooting 41.7 percent (10-of-24).

Mizzou's looking like they're going to run away with this one but K-State is capable of coming back. Missouri has to play their game and avoid doing anything different in the second half. What they did in the first half clearly worked.

The Missouri Tigers will host the Kansas State Wildcats on Monday afternoon as part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule. The Tigers and Wildcats will tip-off at 4:30 p.m. (CT) at Mizzou Arena in a game that has Mizzou as a slight favorite.

Missouri enters in coming off an exhausting overtime loss on the road at Texas A&M. Even though the Tigers are usually the team in better shape this game could be interesting to see if they aren't the team who is drained towards the end. With the margin of victory for K-State over Texas Tech, Frank Martin was able to rest his guys with the quick turnaround upcoming.

That's an interesting point on the conditioning because the Tigers just played an overtime game on Saturday. They are known for their ability to run the court and wear other teams down so they could be at a disadvantage if they're unable to do that.

Mizzou has lost two of their last three games and, while they're not at the same stage as K-State who is struggling a little more, they do need to get back on track. Mizzou is 15-3 on the season but just 1-2 in Big 12 Conference play.

The Kansas State Wildcats will travel to Columbia, Mo. to take on the Missouri Tigers at Mizzou Arena. The game is part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule and will tip-off at 4:30 p.m. (CT). The Wildcats are 13-5 entering the game and they're still trying to figure out who they are.

The Wildcats enter in coming off possibly their best game of the season as they beat down Texas Tech by 34 points. KSU welcomed back Curtis Kelly in the game against the Red Raiders after he served his six game suspension for illegal benefits. In the game Frank Martin changed up his lineup and rotation greatly as he inserted true freshman Shane Southwell into the starting lineup and he did not play former starters Wally Judgeand Nick Russell one single minute.

The Wildcats are at a point where they can go up or down (obvious statement of the year). Another loss and they'll be 13-6 and losers of three of their last four games. A win and they may be back to the pace everyone thought they'd be at by this time of the year.

Kansas State is the underdog entering the game. Getting Jacob Pullen and Curtis Kelly involved early will obviously be important as they try to stop Marcus Denmon and Ricardo Ratliffe.

The Kansas State Wildcats will have one of their biggest tests of the season, as will the Missouri Tigers, when the two teams meet each other Monday afternoon in Mizzou Arena. K-State and Mizzou will be playing as part of ESPN's Big Monday lineup at 4:30 p.m.

Kansas State is 13-5 and has lost two of their last three games. They were hitting rock bottom before Saturday's game against Texas Tech. Freddy Asprilla had just announced he was leaving the program, Kansas State was losing, Jacob Pullen had just freaked out about the NIT and things generally weren't looking good at K-State. Then they blew out Texas Tech by 34 points and things are starting to come back to earth a little bit. They are 1-2 in Big 12 conference play.

Missouri is 15-3 and has lost two of their last three games to Colorado and Texas A&M, which went to overtime. The Tigers are a very good team that runs fast all day and has shown they've got some depth to do it. Marcus Denmon has emerged as their best player while Ricardo Ratliffe plays an important role down low as well.

Both teams need a win just to get back on track to avoid a small losing streak turning into a big losing streak. The Tigers have the edge in the line on the game, which is six points, so the early nod goes to them. But we've seen Kansas State and we know what they're capable of (if they want to do it).
