Kevin Durant has done it again. Then again, we've said that the last three games.

If you missed it last night, Durant sank a buzzer beating three-point shot to sink the Dallas Mavericks at the final seconds to take the Oklahoma City Thunder to 4-0 overall. It was a night filled with statements about the direction of both teams as the Mavericks fell to 0-3, while the Thunder continue to roll despite recent drama surrounding the arguments between the stars Durant and point guard Russell Westbrook.

For the Thunder, this game was a statement that they could still move and stay focused enough to win. For the Mavs, it was a statement that last season was truly a magical run for a team gasping for breath and searching for answers.

Durant finished with a game-high 30 points on 10-16 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out six assists in the game. Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka each finished with 16 while James Harden kicked in 15 off the bench. Oklahoma City shot a sizzling 59 percent in the game but had to overcome 26 turnovers.

Dirk Nowitzki deserved a better fate finishing with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Terry scored 16 points off the bench and Delonte West finished with 15.

Kevin Durant's three-point dagger at the final horn capped off an exciting sequence of events and sent the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks to a 104-102 loss and an 0-3 start to the season.

The Thunder led 101-99 when Serge Ibaka grabbed an offensive rebound and was fouled with just over nine seconds remaining. Ibaka went to the free throw line with a chance to ice the game but missed both shots. Dallas called its final time out to set up the final shot. On the play, Dirk Nowitzki took the ball at the top of the key and drove before twisting and kicking the ball back out to a wide open Vince Carter who had circled around behind. Carter's three-point attempt was good and the Mavericks had a 102-101 lead with a little over a second remaining.

Oklahoma City called time and advanced the ball to half court. With Dirk Nowitzki guarding the inbounder, Kevin Durant curled around and took the pass and turned and let loose a 28 foot shot that found nothing but the bottom of the net for a 104-102 Thunder win.

Kevin Durant and the Thunder will look to remain undefeated against the winless Mavericks in Oklahoma City on Thursday night in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder can make the Dallas Mavericks the first NBA defending champions to start a season with a three straight losses in over 40 years Thursday night. The Mavericks have lost to the Heat and Nuggets to start the season while the Thunder are one of the league's undefeated teams after beating the Magic, Timberwolves and Grizzlies.

The Thunder are led by the NBA's second-leading scorer, forward Kevin Durant, who is averaging 31.7 points per game. Only LeBron James is averaging more points per game (32.7). Guard James Harden's 18.3 points per game is the second most on the team. They're averaging 99.67 points per game, which is the eighth most in the league, and are allowing 94.67 points from opposing teams, which is 11th.

The Mavericks are led by Dirk Nowitzki's 20.5 and Jason Terry's 14.5 points per game. They average 93.5 points per game, 17th in the NBA, but give up a league high 110 points per game.
