<p>For the second straight season, Royals outfielder <span>Wil Myers</span> has been named to the Futures Game roster, and with his development, he could be in the major league's pretty soon. <a href="http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/law_keith/id/8083206/billy-hamilton-gerrit-cole-other-players-watch-futures-game-mlb">At least that's what ESPN's Keith Law thinks</a>. Law names Myers as one of five players who could be promoted:</p>
<p>I don't like the idea of Myers coming up as some sort of offensive savior for the Royals, but it's pretty clear he's ready for the challenge of facing major league pitching, with a great swing, developing power and improving plate discipline.</p>
<p>The 6'3, 205 outfielder was promoted from Northwest Arkansas (AA) to Omaha (AAA) in the middle of May. Myers has hit .336 with 24 HR's and 62 RBI's in both levels this season.</p>

<p>Will Myers, Jake Odirizzi and Yordana Ventura have been selected to play in the annual All-Star game for the MLB's top young prospects.</p> <p>Three <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.royalsreview.com/">Kansas City Royals</a> prospects -- OF Will Myers, RHP Jake Odirizzi and RHP Yordano Ventura -- have been named to the prestigious Futures Game, an annual event which pits the best prospects from the US against the best from the rest of the world.</p>
<p>The 21-year old Myers is appearing in the event for the second consecutive season. The 6'3 205 OF, who was promoted from Northwest Arkansas (AA) to Omaha (AAA) in the middle of May, has hit .336 with 24 HR's and 62 RBI's in both levels this season.</p>
<p>The 22-year old Odirizzi was promoted at nearly the same time as Myers; he has compiled an 8-2 record with a 2.89 ERA in 13 games this year.</p>
<p>Ventura, a 21-year old Dominican, will be competing for the World Team. The 5'11 pitcher has a 3-5 record with a 3.10 ERA in Wilmington (High-A) this year.</p>
