<p>The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes scored ten unanswered points in the second half Saturday night, beating Fresno State 27-26 at Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, OK.</p>
<p>The Hurricanes trailed the Bulldogs 20-7 at the end of the first quarter before scoring ten points in the second quarter to take a 20-17 deficit into halftime.</p>
<p>Fresno State would score just under three minutes into the second half, when Cody Green threw his second pick-six of the game. Tulsa would respond, however, with a <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/161353/daniel-schwarz">Daniel Schwarz</a> field goal and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/79659/trey-watts">Trey Watts</a> touchdown pass to take the lead late in the third quarter.</p>
<p>The key to the win would ultimately happen on the extra point attempt following a <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/86044/tristan-okpalaugo">Tristan Okpalaugo</a> interception return, as <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/136750/quentin-breshears">Quentin Breshears</a>' extra point try was blocked.</p>
<p>The Hurricanes used strong defense in the second half to get the win, taking advantage of several short fields in the third quarter to take the lead and then holding strong through the fourth quarter.</p>
<p>Tulsa quarterback Cody Green was 13-of-37 for 202 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions on the night, while Alex Singleton led the Tulsa rushing attack with 56 yards on 18 carries.</p>
<p>Tulsa (3-1) heads to UAB for next week's game, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. CT.</p>

<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/tulsa-golden-hurricane">Tulsa Golden Hurricane</a> trail the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/fresno-st-bulldogs">Fresno State Bulldogs</a>, 20-17, at halftime, with Tulsa scoring 10 points in the second quarter to close up a big first quarter deficit.</p>
<p>Fresno State jumped out to a 20-7 lead in the first quarter, thanks to a pair of lengthy touchdown drives and a interception return for a touchdown by <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/86024/patrick-su-a" class="sbn-auto-link">Patrick Su'a</a>.</p>
<p>Tulsa has had trouble finding balance on offense, with quarterback <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/76902/cody-green">Cody Green</a> 6-of-17 for 128 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the first half. The Hurricanes are averaging under three yards per carry as well, managing just 58 yards on 20 carries as a team.</p>
<p>The Hurricane were able to rebound, however, with 10 points in the second quarter to close to within 20-17 heading into the half. Green capped off a 48-yard drive with a 31-yard touchdown pass to <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/135511/keyarris-garrett" class="sbn-auto-link">Keyarris Garrett</a>, with <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/161353/daniel-schwarz">Daniel Schwarz</a> nailing a 24-yard field goal with 4:46 remaining in the second quarter.</p>

<p>Game time, TV, odds and more for Saturday's Mountain West matchup between Fresno State and Tulsa. </p> <p>The Mountain West Conference has a chance to put on one of the most exciting offensive matchups in this young college football season when Fresno State visits Tulsa on Saturday evening. The Bulldogs are coming off a 69-14 shellacking of Colorado; the Golden Hurricane has outscored Tulane and Nicholls State 111-26 in its first two wins of 2012.</p>
<p>Both teams are 2-1 in nonconference play. Fresno also beat Weber State and lost to Oregon 42-25. Tulsa lost to Iowa State in Ames in its opener.</p>
<p>The Golden Hurricane is averaging 285.7 yards a game on the ground. They hope to take advantage of a Bulldogs defense that gave up 366 rushing yards to Oregon.</p>
<p>The Bulldogs' Phillip Thomas had three interceptions, including two pick-sixes, in the win against Colorado last Saturday, and was named the Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week for his efforts.
