Graham Zusi called 'the find of the round' for USMNT

Graham Zusi came out of nowhere to have a great season in 2011 for Sporting KC, and followed it up with a solid round of play for the USMNT this year.

Sporting Kansas City and U.S. Men's National Team midfielder Graham Zusi was praised by ESPN's Jeff Carlisle for his efforts in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Guatemala in World Cup qualifying play.

Zusi, who was credited with an assist on Carlos Bocanegra's equalizing goal in the 10th minute, received a seven out of 10 rating from Carlisle, along with some complimentary remarks:

Was all over the field, and continued to impress with his set piece deliveries, as well as his service from out wide. He's perhaps the find of the round for the U.S. and Klinsmann.

Zusi's brand of hustle hasn't gone unnoticed by Sporting KC, who gave him a four-year contract extension prior to the start of the MLS season. In 2011, Zusi appeared in 32 matches for the Eastern Conference champions, scoring five goals and assisting on seven others. The breakout performance earned Zusi a spot on the USMNT.

Zusi has been even better this season for Sporting KC, matching his 2011 total of five goals while racking up 15 assists.
