Sporting KC clinched the first seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs Wednesday night with a 2-1 win over Philadelphia Union at Livestrong Sporting Park. It's the second year in a row Sporting KC (18-7-9) is the top seed in the East; with a six-point lead on D.C. United they only needed a tie Wednesday to clinch the one seed. Games this weekend between the Chicago Fire and D.C. United and the New York Red Bulls and Philadelphia still need played to determine KC's first round opponent.
