Matt Besler Out With Appendicitis For Sporting KC

Sporting KC has lost yet another player in defender Matt Besler, who is now out a reported one to three weeks for appendicitis.

"It didn't burst, which I have heard is the worst pain ever, but it was probably an eight or nine out of 10," Besler told the Kansas City Star. "The thing that was most annoying is that it was so constant."

"I hope it's less than (two weeks), but I have no idea really," Besler said. "There's no way I can really put a day on it. It's going to kill me I have to miss any games."

Sporting is off for a week due to World Cup qualifications, but picks up with several games in the next week.

Ben Gartland from The Daily Wiz writes, "For the game against Toronto on June 16th, I expect Julio Cesar to get the starting nod with Olum maybe getting some consideration. After his performance against Orlando City, I really do not see Konrad Warzycha getting much time. Besler now joins Cyprian Hedrick, Luke Sassano and Kevin Ellis, among others, on the growing list of injured Sporting KC players. This is, by far however, the most impactful on the Sporting KC starting XI."
