Sporting KC has added a hometown goalkeeper to the roster with the announcement today that Scott Angevine has joined the team. Angevine was born in Kansas City, Kansas, attended Blue Valley Northwest High School and went through SKC's Academy making him as local as they come.

"I'm really excited to be a part of this organization. It's a great opportunity to get my professional career started," Angevine said. "There is nothing better than getting signed by your hometown team. I grew up going to games so today is a dream come true."

Angevine played his college career at Northern Illinois before transferring to Coastal Carolina. According to Sporting KC, he's one of seven area players currently on the roster.
