Sporting KC's Kei Kamara Finalist For CBS' 'Courage In Sports'

Kei Kamara has been one of the top performers for Sporting Kansas City in 2012. With his help, they've taken home the U.S. Open Cup and will look for more trophies with the playoffs approaching. The Sierra Lione native has scored 10 goals for Sporting along with five assists, tied with Graham Zusi for the top production point-wise on the squad.

Now, he's up for CBS' 'Courage In Sports' award, being named a finalist.

The award goes to an athlete 'who best embodies the spirit of virtue, courage and excellence', with all eight nominees having gone through an inspirational journey of some sort to get to where they are today. The nominees will be featured on a show at 4 p.m. CT on Nov. 11 on CBS, and fans are allowed to vote on which athletes they want to win.

You can vote for Kamara by going to Courage In Sports' official Facebook page and clicking on the Vote Now! link on the side of the page.
