The Missouri Tigers will have the services of linebacker Zaviar Gooden and offensive lineman Elvis Fisher for Saturday's game against Vanderbilt, according to head coach Gary Pinkel (via Missouri's official athletics website).
Gooden missed last week's game against Central Florida with a hamstring injury. Fisher, who missed all of last season with with an injury to his left knee, has not played since Sept. 8, when he injured his right knee against Georgia.
Pinkel on Gooden:
"We think we're going to get him back, again it was a hamstring injury, we expect him to return but until he gets out there and practices on Tuesday and Wednesday and goes full speed, we're not sure, but we think it's a pretty good shot he might be back. "
On Fisher:
"He got a little practice in last Thursday. It's nice that that is going to work out. We need to get him back out there and to get him going. We'll see how many reps he can get in the game and so on and so forth but it's certainly nice to get him back."
In addition, Pinkel said that offensive lineman Jack Meiners has been bothered by a knee bruise, but will play on Saturday. However, it could be in a limited role.
